I understand that all they see is the sales numbers and money when they talk about there being no such thing as event fatigue amongst fans and I can only speak for myself when I say I am sick and tired of linewide events.
Yes, I purchase some and will be purchasing Age of Ultron, mostly because of Moon Knight more than anything else but, and here's the part they all don't seem to understand, BECAUSE of the added money needed to keep up with The X-men (which I collect and read) plus the added money needed to purchase Age of Ultron, I will NOT be buying Fearless Defenders, Guardians of the Galaxy and the Thanos mini.
So, yes, I will be getting the event books and the double shipping X-books and will probably enjoy them quite a bit but I would rather buy some other stuff too. I make plenty of money and could buy everything I want but these are still just comics and unfortunately, I enjoy going out to movies and dinners and I like to play video games and buy Blu-Rays amongst other things.
I know that I am only one fan but it kills me when they say certain characters and things don't sell when Marvel itself is competing with their own books and flooding those selfsame books off the shelf.
Oh well...
CBR plenty thinx 4presenting our/SZ question....it got answerd- Rambeau.
Wow! Axel sounds like he's really getting tired with the event fatigue question. That answer was one step away from, "Stop buying 'em, and we'll stop making 'em!"
And his own point was supported by a bunch of questions from fans regarding the upcoming Age of Ultron event. So, yeah.

F*** YES!!!!!!!!!!!!In the deeper recesses of Marvel's horror bench, jkavlock asks, "Axel, are there any plans for one of Marvel's most underused characters, Elsa Bloodstone? She was great in Nextwave and would be completely capable of carrying a solo book that would fill a unique niche in the Marvel Universe."
Alonso: Elsa recently appeared in "Wolverine" #314-317, an arc called "Covenant." Beyond that, I expect that she'll show up in "Fearless Defenders" at some point, probably at the end of the first arc, which features a virtual army of female characters. And she'd make a pretty cool character for the MAX line…![]()
Finally, Argentinean fan Coyote popped in to ask, "In a percentage scale, what is the chances to see The Sentry in future events?"
Alonso: Not good.
Sigh. What a wasted character. I LOVED his mini-series, but honestly, I just don't think anyone really knew what to do with him in the regular universe. I thought Sentry was great, sans the long hair surfer look, and I really thought there was potential for him to act as a good foil for other characters. A team-up book with Sentry would have been fun. "Crazy Superman-type teams up with Wolverine and Captain America to investigate their shared ties in the Weapons Plus Program" or something like that. There was like one issue of the Jerome Opeņa/ Greg Hurwitz Moon Knight series where Moon Knight and Sentry interact for one issue and that was really fun for me. I thought it would be great if we could get a "World's Craziest" mini-series or something out of those two. I generally am a fan of most of Bendis' stuff, but he really just killed that character, in every sense of the word. I'm ranting here, but it drives me a little bit crazy. I mean, if you're not sure how to use a character as anything largely other than a plot device (there was a little character development here and there, but not much) or a cypher, then please don't use the character, or, for God's sake, don't kill the character. Make someone up. Use them for your flights of fancy. Now I'll never have a "World's Craziest." Thanks Marvel. Thanks a lot.
I know a lot of people aren't fans of the whole Bobby/Kitty thing but I still think it'll be interesting to see how Kitty handles dating present Bobby and getting annoyed by past Bobby at the same time.
Life is a waste of time, time is a waste of life, so get wasted all the time and you'll have the time of your life.
I can't wait for Young Avengers, I think it's going to be great.
I'm sure that Black Panther/Blue Beetle etc question has been asked before. Back when the first preview pages came out for Age of Ultron with Black Panther in them.

Wait, is Axel implying that Age of Ultron is not the big summer event?
