I posted about this awhile back on the Gail Board over at Jinx but thought I'd share back here on CBR, my old stomping grounds.

Eryck Webb (LAKE MICHIGAN BLUES) is supplying artwork for a Kickstarter-financed comic book that I'm writing, called UNGROUNDED, starring a non-flying magnetic powered hero named Mister Solenoid and his flying polar bear Ulysses.

As of 1/18/2013, we are 62% funded towards our goal of $3,000, with 23 days to go. We have (recently lowered) stretch goals that will dramatically increase the size of the book from one shot to trade paperback. Unlike some Kickstarter stretch goals which offer additional content for some backers, this one has stretch goals that offer additional content for everyone who gets a copy. If you put down $4 for the no frills digital edition, you will get 80 extra pages if we hit $12,000 in funding. So the incentive is on telling your friends about the project. While there are some big ticket rewards, if you can get a few hundred people to just pick up the digital edition, you will all wind up with a bigger comic.

There is a great write-up of us at Multiversity Comics and a brief piece at Nerdlocker. We have an endorsement from GeekDad, Wired magazine's parenting blog. We've also received compliments from Monkeybrain's Chris Roberson (EDISON REX, SUPERMAN: GROUNDED) and Bryan Q. Miller (BATGIRL v3, SMALLVILLE SEASON 11), whose own Kickstarter has raised $9,000 in under a day. (It's called Earthward and it's definitely worth a look.)

Thanks!
