I enjoyed it too, but I really wish Rachel was the one helping Jean with her telepathy and not Kitty. It seems that Bendis doesn't have much of an interest in Rachel, and while that is ok on a personal level, it really makes his stories less plausible when writing about the Phoenix and Jean Grey. Jean found out that everyone in her family died a horrible death, but she doesn't mention having a daughter with Scott? Don't forget that Hank gave Jean full access to everything he knew about her (and It was good to see scenes of Redd and Slym, as well as from Morrison's run--from the way AvX was written, the 20 years or so of stories that happened between her resurrection in Byrne's Fantastic Four to death in Morrison's X-Men didn't happen), which should have included Rachel.
Rachel is right at the school. If all of this happened while Rachel was still lost in Shi'ar space, these stories would make more sense. I can see Rachel hiding herself from Jean and asking the others not to say anything, like she did when she first appeared and asked the X-Men not to tell Scott, but if that's the case it should be explained.
I try to end rant/complaint messages with saying something positive. I like the meetings of the Warrens. I hope we can see their conversation and share their enjoyment of flying. Also this series has said several times that whenever the O5 go back to their time period, Xavier will make them forget and all will go "back to normal." If that is true, then who would make Xavier forget what he learned about the future? Could this be used as a way to bring Xavier back? Even if Xavier wiped his own mind, could he have left some psychic message for himself that would prepare him for what will happen? Could Xavier be alive as a psychic entity like the Shadow King?
I would give this a 4.5 out of five. I liked everything about it. That art of cyke shooting wolvie is awesome. Such good work. The art is top-notch throughout telling an effective story and the coloring is not all bright and gushy.
The story is great too. I like Kitty in her new role. It fits her. And Angel was hilariious and awesome. That was so funny when he just hugs himself and wants to play with young Warren like he's a little kid. I think they're both at the same perspective in some respects. I think Wolvie is over-done in terms of him flying off the handle. Bendis'll prob address this later; mebbe under stress seeing Jean and w/ Prof dying. Only real problem was that the panels are arranged differently on pages. One page top to bottom then onto the next page. At other times, you have to read left to right over the course of two pages, which confused me because it switches without any real clues that I could figure out.
Overall, I really liked this issue and the last one as well. BMB is doing a great job with this team.

Bendis is MARVEL! He's just doing the best work! I love this all new xmen, and although I've never been much of a buyer of Xmen... I'm really digging this!
He looks real neat too! Like he should have been in The Soprano's or somethin'!
I enjoyed this issue a lot. There were a handfull of wonderful character moments throughout with young Jean, Scott and Angel. The Angel stuff was very funny but unnerving at the same time. You can understand the kids fear regarding what the heck has happened to him. When you saw the dialogue off screen before old Angel appeared I thought for a second it would be Psylocke but I bet they will get to that eventually. Sad to see young Scott is making trouble for himself already, haha, he really doesn't do himself any favours. Regarding Kitty helping out Jean...I didn't mind it. I was never familiar with Rachel but I understand she's Jean's daughter from another dimension? Maybe that would have been a bit too much for Jean to handle and that's why they didn't ask Rach to come on in and say "Hi" haha. I dun know. I can't wait to see what happens, love the dynamic of the old team too, it's gonna be sad when they go back. Actually does anyone have any idea what the plan is here long term? Perhaps Bendis will stick with the young team going back but somehow follow them through a alternate history? I know that would open up a massive can of worms but couldn't they do that but make it self contained?
I'm really glad I picked up this title! One of my fav things about this series is the interaction between Iceman & original Iceman. Can't wait to see Mystique in the next issue. I have a feeling she is going to try and corrupt original Cyclops and can't wait till the next issue. I also like how they are grooming Jean to be the new leader of the team. But I am worried how she will adjust to her telepathy without Prof X (or another telepath) to help her.
I enjoyed that too. It seemed like the first positive moment for original Warren since Beast showed up in the past. Seeing as he is the only one who voted to go back to their time.
I hope so could be an interesting way to bring him back.
My local comic shop owner said that it is a new ongoing

Hear me X-men! No longer am I the woman you once knew! I am fire and life incarnate! Now and forever...
I AM PHOENIX!
And that's my point! If only there were another telepath there, one with red hair, a blood link to Jean, and who was also a Phoenix-host...if only there were another telepath there...LOL! That's my first choice. Second choice is not a good one, but might make for good stories: Quentin Quire.
bendis' bias against certain characters really holds this book back.
Ya I thought that was the weakest part of the book and I'm not really feeling the new look at all. It had such an incredible build-up and to just say "well we fixed that problem" off panel and have him show up with a new look and no real explanation. I think it could have been handled alot better. It pretty much makes Beast dying just a plot point for him to go back in time and not part of a better character arc (that it could have been).
