Yeah I like Bodenheim's art too, but their are artists equally as detailed as him, in some cases more so, that do the job on time and if they have a delay its at most a month or two (some exceptions would be those that do writing and art like Planetoid and Godzilla Half Century War as examples, but even then delays aren't that long). Hickman should have had a backup artist to keep the book on schedule. Interesting that the comment was made around that time, I remember in Manhattan Projects 7, I believe it was, that Hickman had a letter on the back updating us on his projects (the letter was dated in mid-October) and he mentioned with regards to Secret that Ryan was almost done with issue 3 and he was looking at a November-December (at worst, he put it) to release it. Obviously that didn't turn out to be the case, but to have completed only 2 pages in that time on a book that had a 6 month delay is bad. Its a shame as well as I liked the first two issues and it felt like a good complimentary book to Manhattan Projects with MP being the crazy, insane, alternate history, sci-fi stuff and Secret's far more grounded and vague but in a good way stuff. Would have loved to have had the entire 15 issue run.
