Batwoman #16 Preview/Discussion

Loved this issue. It was great seeing so many characters get in their moments, and I think its building well to the climax. Only a bit I was slightly disappointed with was Ceto using the Mother of All Monsters moniker which is technically Echidna's if my memory serves me correctly. Still I loved the story Williams and Blackman created for Ceto and just what Medusa's motivation behind all of this was.

Yeah I enjoyed reading Medusa's motivation for her actions also.

Glad this storyline is finally drawing to a close as it seems to have given the title back its focus that to me at least it had lost in its last few issues.

There is already good reason for her to encounter both Nightwing and Batgirl.

I want more! I want to see Batwoman show up in at least 2 or 3 titles, maybe once a year or so. I want Batwoman in a JLA-type book, perhaps starting as a guest, then a recurring guest, then a member (2 to 3 years). And it doesn't have to be JL-Dark either. I don't think her stories should be exclusively supernatural-related.

I already liked the art in this series but this issue was phenomenal! The two page layout where Wonder Woman is fighting the Hydra is Awesome! I liked this issue so much better than the last one which seemed like a filler issue. Although I understand their motives in doing a Maggie issue especially if they plan on making her Kate's long term love interest.

I note that on Young Justice cartoon there is a Bette Kane, but it is not clear if they will make her Flamebird or not, though a hint has surfaced I believe. (don't watch this regularly.

I think YJ is cancelled. What episode was Bette in?

I haven't read the latest issue, but my take is that if Maggie hasn't figured it out, Kate is ready to tell her.

I thought that after reading this issue. I wonder if the writer will do that? Would Maggie immediately try to arrest Kate only for D.E.O. to intervene somehow? Would make for an interesting issue down the road.

but the numbering seems off; Homefront is episode 12, the first for Bette. Note the note indicating that for the cartoon, she is just Bette Kane, not.flamebird.or.bat-girl
