Batman fights death, and Superman fights the impossible - Grant Morrison
An image for another new MOS toy from Mattel has surfaced online. This time Mega Punch Superman by Mattel. Again an awfully cheap design which will likely just sit on toy shelves.
hi stk the thing that saddens me is that Mattel is just delivering crappy toys. The designs and packaging looks dated. Nothing looks new or fresh about it. I cant see kids snapping these up and collectors are being put off by how nasty they look.
Some details from the Man Of Steel Lego sets shown at the London Toy Fair:
end of spoilers
Man Of Steel will feature Black Zero
But which Black Zero? Well, judging by the ‘Black Zero Escape’ that features only Zod, Lois and Superman figures, it’s more likely to be ‘what’ than a who – perhaps the computer virus or Krypton-based terror force, rather than the psycho-molecule-creating uber-bad of pre-Crisis Superman. Still, if the LEGO is anything to go by – and it usually is – Man Of Steel will be a much more heavily weaponised affair than previous movie Supes, with Zod packing some heavy calibres and his own personal army. So what does the Black Zero kit reveal? Well, Lois Lane in a space pod, Supes in the air, and Zod behind some kind of complex control device. A different LEGO kit has Zod in body armour – perhaps that CG suit we’ve been hearing about – and a face mask, which hopefully won’t lead to Bane-like mumbling. “Knnel..fbffrr…zzod!”

Gets the Dark Knight treatment? Which is what fans have been saying all along despite people saying its not like Dark Knight.
According to reports, Warners are awaiting to see how MOS performs at the box office before deciding to procede with JL. Sounds like they are very skeptical about their product as well seem to be hedging their bets. Shouldnt they procede with JL anyways? At this rate it will take ages to get the other DC superheroes onto the big screen and they sound very noncommital.
It's like when, prior to GL's release, some people were saying that GL should be a trilogy. What a disaster that would have been for WB, if they had filmed multiple GL bombs back to back or something before realizing people didn't want to see them. It would have been a calamity of biblical proportions for the studio.
They are perfectly justified in wanting to see how people react to MoS before moving forward with anything else.
