Capullo
Sciver
Burnham
Gleason
Fabok
Capullo is a force. I LOVE Burnham but Capullo is just too good. He may be the best Batman artist ever, as he incorporates some of the elements of all my past favorites (Miller, Mazzuchelli, Lee, McFarlane, Timm) into one complete whole, yet still maintains his completely distinct style.
Burnham is crazy good but Capullo is a better fit for Batman.
Gleason is a great artist but I prefer him on other properties, I thought he was a better fit for Green Lantern Corps.
Fabok is alright but a bit boring to me. His work doesn't really leave much of an impression on me.
I have been down on EVS lately. I think his work over the past few years has been kinda bad, everyone has that grim and constipated look.
He doesn't count, the 5 artists in poll are on the "main" Batman-centric books.
There is a God. And he hates us all.
He's been drawing Batman Beyond. Hey, it's got Bruce, Tim, and Dick in it, even Barbara, in addition to Terry. It's a legit Batman ongoing.
Yeah, too bad. I count it. And I like that comic more than the majority of the so-called "main" books.
I voted for Van Sciver... I really like his work. I think he needs a lot more lead time than the other writers but I always enjoy his work and his story telling.
Gleason, easily.
For me:
1. Gleason
2. Capullo
3. Burnham
The other two fall in somewhere after...
DC: Batman Inc - Batman & Robin - Batman - Justice League - Justice League of America - A̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶C̶o̶m̶i̶c̶s̶
Batman fights death, and Superman fights the impossible - Grant Morrison
