Except Shuri isn't very popular so with her book canceled, the titles are reverting back to T'Challa. Both characters are Black Panther. This annullment was shown in Avengers vs. X-Men #9. That's what makes the dialog between the two here such ridiculous fan service. He didn't just initiate, it he did it with such a verbally swift brutality, that it was rather glorious.

T'Challa: "Our marriage was annulled by the High Priest of the Panther Clan. You are not my wife anymore."
Storm: "The High Priest of the Panther Clan? But... You are the High Priest."
T'Challa: "Please do not come here again."

I like Storm and it still made me laugh.

Also, A+X #3 showed that he's regained his status as King.

Except what I said was 100% correct. Shuri is Queen, the Black Panther, ruler of Wakanda and the high priest of the Panther cult. Not T'challa. He's the King of Necropolis---King of the Dead, not Wakanda and he's Bast personal Black Panther. His home book is New Avengers btw and that trumps A+X. He's a King--just not of Wakanda. So Storm and Jason Aaron had it incorrect--or he just made Storm look like she doesn't know what she is talking about.

Soon, but they'll both be in their own separate beds.

As you just read, their still madly in love with one another. Keeping those kinds of feelings pent up isn't good. Especially for a woman of Storm's power. Now quiet yourself.

Being Bast's personal Black Panther makes him more the high priest than her.

Well the official WatX thread was closed but I love how Storm became Emma and in old country fashion sang "Stand by your man" to Logan instead of questioning him, she just shut up and had sex with him. Now we can have faith in Logan because the ultimate trophey X-Man woman said so. I just hope she doesn't become his arm candy and he starts calling her "Princess" when she cops a tude. I don't know how people don't see that as any different to what happened with Storm and T'Challa. Why does the outlook always change when its Wolverine? Because he's Wolverine damnit. Its like fans are blind to his chauvinism yet see it on other characters like Scott, Remy ect. Why do they think he'll treat her with more respect than T'Challa did? He's been known to patronize her when questioning him.

I dont want to see Ororo become his trophey.

The best part of the book was when Wolverine was refused service at Harry's.

I think Storm will put Logan in his place, personally. She's been around as long as he has, has actually led a respected team, and isn't a gigantic hypocrite.

I enjoyed this issue as it was well written and looked nice (for the most part...what was with Iceman's face in a few of the panels?) but a few questions popped up I wasn't sure about.

    1. Does Black Panther have a thing against Wolverine or is he just jealous of Storm getting with him?

    2. Why does storm require Wolverine to cut her hair? Can't she just go to a barber?

    3. What exactly was Shadowcat and Iceman doing on that roof in front of the tornado? Just experiencing it since she can pass them through it unharmed?

That said I was psyched to get a real explanation for the haircut. I was afraid they'd just pass off this new look without an explanation. As far as cutting it as therapy to get over Black Panther (I'm assuming) I like the idea.
