Soule seems to have some interesting ideas, bringing up a Fringe style of storytelling certainly is a positive for me.

This sounds really great. Very much looking forward to Soule's run.

I actually quit Swamp Thing in the middle of Rot World. It wasn't my cup of tea. I will probably pick up the new run with high hopes.
That was as true of Moore's Swamp Thing as it was of Pasko. There was a thematic carry through -- all these various types of evil -- that eventually became a literal one (with the Brujeria being responsible for much of the rise, and each of his trials giving him new insight to use against the Great Evil Beast).

Just feels like a thin comparison to me.

Yeah, liking the idea of the serialized TV-like method of story telling. Shorter stories with elements that connect into an overall story. Too many books in the New 52 stuck in the 6-issue arcs or massive crossovers. (At least the ones I read or did read.)

I always thought Snyder will do a 'Swampy's reaction to his changes' arc after Rotworld is done, so Soule's idea for the series pleases me, so is his ideas of few shorter arcs with an overall connection. I am looking forward to his run

Swampy vs. Scarecrow? Swampy in the Arctic? Swampy under the sea? Swampy meets the JL?
Interesting ideas, and the promise of short story arcs?
Sounds awesome, definitely looking forward to Soule & KANO getting started!

It seems like 6 issues if you're lucky in some cases.

I'm glad to see the idea of shorter arcs for Swamp Thing. The book just totally went off the rails with the Rotworld stuff. It went from being the first book I read when it arrived to being a book I was thinking about dropping. I would be happy if Soule could just make it an above average title again.
