LOL. I only mean it has never been in danger of winning an Oscar. We love the films, and watch the first two every Christmas. I find a lot of times people who review films neglect to Take into account what they are watching and act like everything should be high art. It was okay as die hard film, not as fun as some of the others, but calling it shitty in comparison to the other die hard films would be overly dramatic. Plenty of people probably think the whole series is just dumb action film testosterone fodder. I think they are fun action flick testosterone fodder. But this one was 'meh'

However, if you want to see stuff blow up, Bruce Willis say yippee - ki ya mothereffer, and beat up some foreign guys who want to do bad things, you'll be sated. Some of the action was straight up ridiculous, but no more than tying yourself off with a firehouse and jumping off of an exploding rooftop.

I'm fully expecting the next film, 'the family that plays to together, dies hard together'

Sorry, I get aggressive when I perceive someone as threatening Die Hard. You're a mother, you understand.

The book is good, but I think that it could suffer if it doesn't know what to do with itself. See WatXM.

I don't see how you can accuse Wolverine and the X-Men of not knowing what it's doing. It's got so many subplots on the boil, you'd think it was a Peter David book. This just looks like another case of you making up a criticism for a book without any evidence for it, when the only thing the book is doing wrong is not featuring characters you like more.

I got less and less excited for the new Die Hard the closer it got to release. It just doesn't look good at all, and after the atrocious reviews, I ended up turning down seeing it yesterday with some buddies of mine. They all told me today that it sucked, and that I should be glad I didn't see it, and they all love the Die Hard series, especially the one guy who is nigh-S/V level in his slurpage.

And for the record, Skynet is spot on -- they're not high art or anything. The first is one of the greatest action films ever, and is nigh-universally regarded as such. The next 2 are decent, dumb action films, and Live Free was a step below that.

Yeah, it might have not have come across that way, but I don't have anywhere near as much love for Die Harder or With a Vengeance as I do for the original. I think they're both very good, but nowhere near the perfection of Die Hard.

IAM Debate: better film -- Terminator 2 or Die Hard?

They're 2 of, if not my top 2 fav action films of all time, but Imma say T2.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Die Hard, it's such a watershed moment in Action Film history.

Also, you can't top Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber...you just can't.
