Does anyone actually understand what the hell Final Crisis was about?

It's like that thing in the Galactus vs Composite Vampire thread where there was that Mandrakk guy and nobody could actually tell what had happened so we had no idea how powerful he was.

I think it was a way of justifying Flashpoint in advance.

"Look guys.... It's been ages since we did a complete reboot of the DCU. Maybe as long as two years. I mean... TWO YEARS!! That's like forever or something. And it's been so long that we now can't keep track of anything. We only killed the New Gods and that bunch a couple of months ago in a story called... oh, umm... wait, it'll come back to me... was it Death of the New Gods or something? Anyway, that was just a couple of months ago, and we've already brought some of them back just so we can kill them again in Final Crisis. We need a complete reboot, STAT! This universe is out of control!"

Do you want a summary or just an answer for the Mandrakk thing? Because Mandrakk is bigger(or around the same size) as the orrery of worlds which is a machine made out of the 52 universes.
