Injustice gets my vote, The Bat/Supes comic that DC nu52 is missing
Honestly, all my pulls this week were great. Tough choice. I voted Demon Knights because there's a new writer and a 30-year gap in the story, but the book did not miss a beat. I was nervous going in, but this is thankfully still the Demon Knights we all know and love. Threshold was one of the strongest #1s I've read in awhile. Talk about hitting the ground running, this one gets an immediate place on my pull-list. And for the second month in a row, Pat Gleason on Batman and Robin makes waaay better use of the creepy Joker face mask than the main Batman title. The artwork has been carrying B&R for awhile now.
On a sidenote, does anyone know when Saga will stop being a freakin' masterpiece with every single issue? Anybody?
Be a fan of the creators, not the characters.
This was a tough choice. Batman did everything right but I am not that into all the darker stuff so I went with Threshold which looks like a fun space adventure that had me laughing at the backup and intrigued to see where the main feature is going.
Batman clearly won, but Threshold and Batgirl were both amazing too.
I'll go:
Batman
Threshold
Batgirl
I'll give Threshold the edge because of Larfleeze.
Also, I hope "Bargirl" in the poll is a typo![]()
This week I did not pick up a single book I wasnt impressed with.
I'd go... Batman > Demon Knights > Batgirl
Batman, Constantine, Demon Knights, Green Arrow, I Vampire, Saga, Talon, and Thor: God of Thunder
Voted for Demon Knights. I was very impressed with how Vendetti handled his first issue. Kinda wish he was writing Constantine now. Threshold and Batman were strong runners up.
All the books I read this week were great so it was a very difficult choice to make. In the end I'm going to go with Demon Knights.
Current Top Ten Comics: Earth 2, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Talon, Demon Knights, Transformers: Regeneration One, Young Avengers, Batman Beyond Unlimited, Nightwing, Flash, Aquaman
Demon Knights
Threshold
Frankenstein
Deathstroke
Team 7
Ravagers
Batman ran away with it for me in a very light week, only losing to Saga overall. Issue was maybe a bit predictable, but wow was it a fun read. Only other two I got were Batman and Robin (serviceable if filler-y) and Legion Lost (which went out with a whimper). My shop didn't get their order of Ame-Comi Girls, though I'm sure that wouldn't have toppled the "Bat King".
Batman was easily the best book this week.
Team 7 was ok if a little dull. Demon Knights was ok too... never doubted Venditti's abilities.
Batman & Robin had the weakest issue so far in the series.
Batman and Threshold were the best print books this week, with Threshold just slightly edging Batman for me because of his unexpectedly fun the book was. Injustice was off to a strong start as well.
My overall winner was today's Legends of the Dark Knight #33. Damn. That was just some fracked-up crazy kinda stuff. That one really hit me hard. It hit me hard enough that i actually forgot that Batman 16 even came out yesterday until I saw it on the poll.
