    Delightful.

    This book is criminally underrated.

It would be pushing it after only 7 issues, but this deserves to have a relaunch and restart at #1.

This would be the book that you give to anybody who saw the Avengers movie.
I can only think of two other Marvel NOW! books (Iron Man and Hulk) that fit that category and this is better than both of them put together.

This is also the Avengers book that many of the old school fans have been waiting for as we are seeing a group of Avengers that actually really enjoy each others company.
Hopefully no one will come on the threat and start complaining about showing the Avengers eating.

I know some fans had issues with that sort of thing during Bendis run.

But I think it's sort of nice seeing these simple quieter moments in the characters lives... and I get the feeling we won't get TOO much of that in Hickman's book so it's nice to get some of it here.

There's no way Jessica or Carol didn't send out a mass text or tweet about that.

There were little bits of comic genius in here-not sure how much was Kelly Sue or Caselli: Tony going to unbuttoning his pants right after Carol says "Drop your pants" without even asking why, Janet with the group (of course) during the walk of shame, Tony's shameless walk. Great stuff, great fun.
I want to say KSD definetly wrote that into the scene, but Caselli definetly delivered on the visual end.

And Jan. No way she'd miss that. Even if she didn't come back to life, she probably would have arisen from the dead to catch that.
My only beef is that we didn't get a panel of Jessica calling Peter into her office and screaming "PARKER! I NEED PICTURES! PICTURES OF MEN, NAKED MEN!"

KSD crushed it with this issue. Flipping crushed it. I find that I'm a little annoyed at Marvel for not rebranding this a Marvel Now title. Would definitely benefit the book I think to have that banner. I know the book just started, but it has a whole new creative team, new lineup and a new tone. Just doesn't make sense why they wouldn't have pulled the trigger on it.

You just know that Carol called the whole team about it!

I'll probably read it if it has: Carol Danvers, Natasha Romanova, Kitty Pryde, Kate Bishop, Anna Marie, Emma Frost, Bobbi Morse, Janet Van Dyne, Monet St Croix, Theresa Cassidy

To be fair, the book launched in 2012. Relaunching in the same year would be a tad insane, and would mean they would probably have to relaunch the other books that weren't renumbered/relaunched as well. I'm cool with just the NOW! trimmings on the cover.

    !
I don't see the big deal with relaunching in the same year. If its that bad then just hold off till January to release it. Uncanny X-Men recently got relaunched and its getting a new volume as well. As for the other books that aren't relaunching, they're still telling the stories they started out telling without any dramatic change in direction or creative team shifts. To me this fits the criteria for a relaunch. Its just annoying that the title is so good, but its not getting the attention that it could've if it were launched differently.

It's also an Avengers title, which mean it will sell regardless. Avengers terrible first issue (not personal Bendy, but it wasn't your best work) was the highest order comic that month. I'm fairly certain Assemble has a solid audience, will remain safe from cancellation, and that KSD can tell the stories she wants for the near future.

I look forward to the day when KSD does a Black Widow x Spider-Man team up story arc. Not to mention more interaction between Peter Parker and Jessica Drew in the near future out of costume.

I feel ya. I like KSD writing Spidey, and am not above admitting I "ship" him with Carol. My question is will Assemble be featuring SpOCK-SSM, or stick w/ Peter?

this series has been by far my favorite thing ive read by ms KSD. smart and funny

it kinda feels like she is having so much fun writing it, there isnt a ton of pressure and its just flowing like she is telling a story that really happened

only critique... i wish instead of blurring out the hulks massive rage penis.... they would of thrown hawkeye's face over it and hawk blocked it

Very different feeling from both books. This isn't just tolerance or comfort, this is enthusiasm, camaraderie and amusement.
