Okay this isn't an issue about quality, I think the Edge line has improved quite a bit in that way. But this line seems to be the second most problematic one after Young Justice. But YJ's troubles were due to a bad handling from editors, whereas I think the Edge line has deeper problems as far as sales are concerned.
The problem is that this line is supposed to have a mix of sci-fi, western, espionage, military, etc. DC has pretty much failed to sell any of these. Blackhawks and Men of War were among the first to be cancelled, along with OMAC. The Wildstorm books like Grifter and Voodoo didn't pan out at all. GI Combat was a joke as far as the market is concerned. Now, Team 7, Stormwatch, and Deathstroke are selling pretty terribly.
Threshold will be a lot of fun, but I worry the same fate.
Suicide Squad seems to be doing fine, only because it's tied to Snyder's Batman. All Star Western isn't doing that great, but it seems to be holding its own in the sales chart.
Is the Edge line doomed to fail or is there a way to make these genre books successful?
