Before Hamil came along, there was Larry Storch in the Filmation Batman cartoons and Batman/Scooby Doo crossover. And there was Frank Welker in the Super Powers Galactic Guardians show as Joker.

Storch was really good, imo. I think the Brave and the Bold cartoon Joker kind of harkens back to his version.
Welker, though one of the great voice actors of all-time, was not so hot as Joker, imo.
I agree Storch was the better of the two early Joker voice actors
Well frank Welker is god, so there's that. Actually my fave ever was Tim Curry, but he is an asterisk, or a foot note.
Animal Man, Green Arrow, Batman and Robin, Batgirl, Supergirl, Earth 2, Worlds Finest, Wonder Woman, The Movement
Ahh... the forgotten quartet of Jokers. Two from Filmation shows, two from Hanna-Barbera shows. Largely overlooked by the last generation for not being Romero, largely ignored by the next generation for not being Nicholson. Then Mark Hamill came along, and as far as anyone's concerned, Joker in animation began (and ended) with him.
That said... voice acting aside, does anyone have anything to say about how the Joker was written in these 60s/70s/80s cartoons? Me, I find the plots dreadfully predictable. Few surprises, even fewer genuinely witty moments.
