    Default Wishmaster

So I'm far from a film buff. I know a few obscure horror flicks but mostly I do enjoy the mainstream stuff. It might not be scary, but it tends to be entertaining.

Anywho, in Movie Horror, you got your mouthy monsters and killers - baddies who will chat you up before they chop you down. There's your Candyman's and your Pinhead's who have great dramatic thunder but are rather dry in terms of what they say. Then you have your Freddy's and Chucky's who are bound to blast you with puns.

Everyone is good in their own way.

...but this guy is my favorite.

Andrew Divoff as the Djinn is just perfect to me. He has a more classy style of verbal exchange than Freddy but he is also more fun than Pinhead. His voice is both memorable and creepy and the fact he usually has to manipulate his victims into killing themselves means that, when you think about it, his ability to speak is his most dangerous weapon.

So what say you? Would you rank him as one of the more iconic and awesome cinematic horror villains?

The first wishmaster movie was fun , so many horror icons involved in the movie - Tony Todd in the clip (Candyman) , Robert England (Freddy) , Kane Hodder (Jason Vorhees), Ted Raimi (brother of Sam Raimi , was involved in the making of the franchise) , Angus Scrimm (Tallman in the phantasm movie) , Reggie Baninster (Phantasm movie).

Sadly the sequels were not as good. Part 2 was still okay , the rest of the sequels were utterly garbage.

I remember a scene i'm not sure which Wish Master movie it was from, but this convict told the demon he wishes his lawyer would for F^$# himself, and it literally happened. I thought that scene was hilarious when i was younger.

these movies were good up until..well, they lost Andrew Divoff. then they nearly made the Jinn into an anti-hero in the fourth movie. but he had a good run. my favorite is Pumpkinhead, btw. he showed more humor through his actions than a lot of these guys.
