I don;t want Wally-as-Villain, but being trapped in the Speed Force forever, lost his family, forgotten by the world he fought for... that gives him a pretty legitimate beef with Barry I must say. Ultimately they should go their separate ways though, once they have had their little cathartic moment.
Thank you all, I appreciate the compliments. BraveSirRobin (great name, by the way, good job on the Chicken of Bristol), a meeting between Wally and Barry would be essential. It would drive home the whole "everything is different and nobody knows me" thing as well as horrifying Wally that Barry was basically the cause of it all. A brief confrontation between grief-stricken Wally and clueless Barry, which convinces Wally to head into the past in his never-ending, never successful, mission to bring back his family and world.

Take Barry out of that equation, and it would be some pseudo-faux-"Wally" in name only, barely even a pretender to who most Wally fans want and remember. Just take any random un-named guy in any crowd scene of an issue of New 52 Flash, say he's really the New 52 "Wally West", and you'd have just about the same thing.
Take any of the former old universe Teen Titans/Titans that exist anew in the DC52. All were shaped by their experiences as Titans, yet now that experience has been wiped from existence.

I'll say it again: I met Wally months (and stories) before I ever heard of Barry Allen. For that matter, I met Iris West and all the Rogues through Wally.
My whole interest in the DC and superheroes went from being Mild (watches an occasional show on TV or an old movie rerun on TV) to Obsessed Fan watches heroes on TV, buys DVDS, toys, books, and clothing with superhero themes...

    All because of Wally West.

    No Barry attached.

Now Barry with Wally would be absolutely thrilling. Also would love to see Jay in the mix along with Bart and Impulse and...heck, everyone down to that dog Wally had way back in the day.

    This isn't likely to happen.
So I'll settle for a speedster Wally (future/past/Elseworlds, whatever) who acts like Wally and looks like Wally and talks like Wally (minus the Barryisms) just to have a recognizable Wally again.

Now I'll say it again one last time (because I'm getting tired of saying it): I don't need Wally to remember Barry. I think it's perfectly possible that instead of Barry, Wally met someone else...possibly someone brand new to the DC...whose influence made Wally into a hero as near as can be made as he was before. Differences? Yeah...Like Nightwing is different now then he was back then. Like Roy is dif.

    See? Easy.
