"xxx Women" could be construed as something pornographic, what about "Women-X" ?
"Birds" is or was a slang term for women in Britain, I don't know if it is widely known or used elsewhere.

Why HAVE storm and Rogue gone back to much older looks?
It is also interesting to note how covered up Psylocke is. You can tell who the target audience for female centric titles are by how much skin they show.
Chill!
For starters, the book is called "X-Men" because it's about the X-Men. The cast just happens to be female.
I don't think the new book will be much of a competition for BoP, the Birds have had a book for over a decade and I doubt their readers are going to suddenly drop the book because Marvel has two teams with a female cast.
ByI mean:For the most iconic part of the team's run
Oracle--not a bird
Black Canary
Lady Blackhawk
Huntress--not a bird
The original team was just Oracle and Black Canary with occasional appearances by other ladies like Catwoman, Huntress, and Cheshire's group the Ravens (who did not themselves have avian themed names apart from the team's moniker).
Pull list:
Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Worlds' Finest, My Little Pony, Sword of Sorcery, The Flash, Animal Man, Birds of Prey, Lone Ranger
Silly OP. BoP has been running as an ongoing title for a decade and a half or more now. Its earned enough respect to not need to 'compete' with the X-girls.
