He'd take over Cyclops' revolution renaming it the Summer's Rebellion, kick Cyclops off the team messing him up so badly that he'd have to be made into a cyborg to survive, sex up Emma, attack the JGS causing Jean to subconsciously assemble the Phoenix, unleashing it bringing about the Six-Second War cementing Bishop's future. 9 months later, Ruby is born.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

what would be the result? how would Vulcan fit in marvel now?

Is Vulcan dead? He was presumed dead along with Black Bolt, but if Black Bolt survived then why shouldn't Vulcan be alive?

Good question. Easy answer: He'd try to bang teenage Jean Grey. That's what any good Summers boy does.

The only way Vulcan will return to earth is if he finds out Lorna is pregnant. He will step up.

Very true. What was Omega? Well we know he had the combination of all of his former teammates power, but yes a power scale is needed. I like the redirect energy thing and maybe it could be stated that he actually got more powerful when gets shot by his bloodlines abilities.

Maybe. Cyclops would do it all again if it got him the mutants he wanted. Its not a definite positive, but its positive enough to keep Vulcan by his side.
I'm just going by his lack of passion for life in Deadly Genesis, he would kill with ought hesitation. Then he raged war with the Shi'ar and shortly after the rest of the universe, i could only imagine what his over all body count is now. Cyclops isn't going to be cool with him being a homicidal maniac which would cause the split between the two.

I'm sure he had time to reflect wherever he is now. He'd jump on the Cyclops atonement train since the main person he hated is dead and gone and killed by the very person he most looked up to. Vulcan is a terrible leader so far and usually had someone else pulling the strings. When he was king of the Shi'ar, though he got himself to that point, I always figured it was Deathbird pulling the strings. She had shaped him into her ideal man and being mentally a child in an adult body, its not like it was hard for her to do. Then when Deathbird got her back broken, he lost his shit. He had no direction and was going completely off the deep end as he was doing orders that made no sense and just let Revenge guide him (his usual M.O.). He needs a character that actually gives a crap about him and can make him see that its not okay to just act out like he does. Hence, if they make another appearance with him he'll need the guidance of Cyclops. It'll probably make him a better character and by Vulcan being on the team it would put Cyclops at odds with the Uncanny Avengers (since Havok hates Vulcan) and the Illuminativengers (since Black bolt hates him to). It could be a real fun drama filled ride with Vulcan actually learning to better himself, but the increasing craziness of Yana tempting him to be the cold blooded revenge seeker he usually is.

He'll hook up with Legion in Legacy. Legion is strong enough to not be intimidated by Vulcan and Vulcan really needs to hear about Legion's insights into letting go of the past.

They'll trade knowing, resigned glances with each other while they casually swat down JGS faculty who swing by to help them.

    What would happen?

    Hmmm.

Nothing. Because noone would care. (Unnecessary, one-note, plot-device character bullshit!)

You both made some interesting points. It's been so long since i've read anything with Vulcan in it that i've forgot he is just a child in a man's body with some extreme rage issues. He does need a father figure to help rehabilitate him, and guide him in the right direction. Vulcan on the team would also give Summers the fire power he's currently lacking in his organization. That is if Vulcan's deep space timeout has actually helped him out.
