That's a lot of books to go through. I personally, tend to read the trade paperbacks with the little critical snippets on the back that read: "An instant classic," or "A milestone in modern comics," or whatever. Can't trust my fellow fans for an honest review because they're as specific in their tastes as school girl uniform fetishists.

    X-Men#1-44
    Uncanny/X-Men then read as a single bi-weekly title from 325/45 - 393/113, for the most part, the exception is X-Men #61-79/Uncanny #341-359.
    New X-Men #114-156
    Astonishing X-Men #1-24
    House of M
    X-Men #177-207
    Messiah Complex
    X-Force #1-6
    Uncanny X-Men #495-522
    Second Coming
    Uncanny X-Men #526-544
    Schism
    Uncanny X-Men v2 #1-20
    AvX:Consequences

and that covers everything up through Marvel NOW!
Exactly what I was planning to say. Endorsed!

I agree completely and you could add X-Men: Deadly Genesis 1-6 in there somewhere in 2006
    Cyclops was right.

The fact that this needs to be debated and clarified speaks volumes for the tragic mess that modern comics have become.

The 90's absolutely obliterated comics as a medium in more ways than adding variant covers, eh?
Freedom is the ability to live without fear of persecution. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less.

I wouldn't say that, I'd say it became a shambles after Morrison left.
There are four stages of matter. Solid. Liquid. Gas & Don't. It's science.
