X-Men Legacy is such a great read so far. I am really enjoying the take on Legion. Seriously one of the best relaunches in NOW. Check it out.

Currently reading: Scarlet Spider X-Men: Legacy Morbius Hawkeye X-Factor Young Avengers
I never thought I'd enjoy a book about Legion, but I was proven wrong.
Every issue has been a fantastic read so far.

No... it's horrible. The art is so bad, it's distracting.
Legacy is my favorite X book at the moment.
Also question I'm a xfan from Grant Morrison to present and have rea all the 60-80s essential stuff, Pheonix, god loves, all that stuff
Would the Claremont Lee Omnibuses be good for me?
Superior
Hey guys I'm trying to read past X-Men storylines (cannon) in chronological order, but only the ones that are relevant and good stories. The objective is to carry one to the current comics (although I not in favor of Cyclops being a dick, Magneto being a good guy, etc. But this may also be related to not having followed the evolution through time.)
Also, I'd like to stay away from super old material, like stan lee and such.
Can anyone recommend a reading list?
Maybe begin with X-Men Season One, then First class?

See this recent post for a "core only" chronological read order using only one title at a time.
I also wrote an entry called "Instant X-Men Expert" for just this purpose.
You need to decide on your start point. You are already skipping classic X-Men (which is fine - it's not specifically referenced all that much). Do you wish to start with Claremont at Uncanny X-Men #94? With the very beginnings of the "crossover era" around #210? At the height of the 90s with #281? Or, post-90s with Morrison's takeover of New X-Men.
There are plenty of entry points along the way, so your decision is largely based upon how much time/resources you want to spend on this chronological read.
(I would not say First Class is essential to your read, but Season One is a decent replacement if you dislike 60s comics.)
