I buy mostly singles and digital books (depending on the title and how long I plan on continuing to receive it.) I'm not a big fan of Trades usually even if modern writing styles make them a better read. I do however buy occasional Hard Covers (like the Starman Omnibus) but it's fairly rare as I have very limited shelf space for them.

I buy mostly digital comics so I can get many of them cheaper if I don't need to read the story right away. This is especially for the books that go for $3.99. I want to read Batgirl or Wonder Woman right away, but on others, I find I can wait.

I buy the trades of the books I like a lot because I enjoy reading the book format more. I do this more for independents because they typically have a linear trajectory so you can read the books sequentially and you get the whole world presented to you. It is not like you are reading a small slice of an otherwise huge world the character has lived in for fifty years. I also trade wait on come books that I really just love and the trade is such a nice way to read it, I wait for it.

I read books I really like monthly, but if I want to read something but it isn't good enough to be in the 10 books a month I budget myself I pick up the trade. Unfortunately I wait listed I vampire. After I read the trade and decided to start picking it up they canceled it, literally that day.

I only really buy floppies when I'm buying into the hype or just want to make that weekly trip to socialize with other comic book ppl. I prefer trades with their sturdier builds, attractive dressing, and less embarassing toy ads.
