I find the extra dialogue a little refreshing actually.
I am not a Defalco hater, there are things he has done that I have liked (Superman Beyond 0) and stuff that I didn't(his run on FF in the 90's).
I genuinely believe that given an opportunity he and Ron Frenz could actually make this book go some place. To me at least, this book is floundering. It seems like there was this initial concept for this character but it was never fully realized, for varying reasons. When Defalco started the book with the 'I am a weapon...' monologue it seemed to suggest to me that he's trying to get it back on track.
There is still the idea that he was breaking into banks to get money. That plot point should be dealt with....right now hes a total newbie....but I can't see the court excusing him if he gets caught. There are some interesting story ideas there...
If the shoe fits: "a crankly old man standing just on the edge of a crowd gathered for a concert and stamping his feet yelling at the crowd to stop having fun, that they don't know what fun is."
Damn Holmesits one thing to speaknegative about the book, but its another to actively try to persuade others to not cbeck it out for theirselves.
Actually besides the same ppl who are never happy with this book,it has gotten decent reviews(i was shocked by this also),and from those who have given it negative reviews in the past.
This book, the writing and art is not perfect, not even close, but it told a fluid story, everyone got a moment, and it moved the crossover forward, whilesetting up the superboy annual next week up.i think superboy looked very good here, and can not be said enough.
If you are even for a moment thinking of checking out a book, you should, you dont have to buy a book anymore to get enough info about itto get interested, and for godsakes dont let others stop you from it.
Dont mess with the "S"
SB was in the last issue of Legion Lost this wednesday, and he was on three pages, and i dont know for sure why he was even there, besides to have defalco let Harvest put the trigger words on kon...instead if his own book jeez.
Anyway i couldnt find not one scan online for the pages,so i took pics, cropped them a lil,and now im posting them here.

Try this for a summary of Superboy #16: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/cape...p-1-18-13.html
And here some scans: http://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/4196425.html
Thank you to both of you guys! This has actually made me extremely excited for the annual next week. I'll be picking that up.
DeFalco is a fan of Batman? That's the stuff of fucking nightmares. Suffering through his Nightwing issues was bad enough.
What the hell is the point of Batman on the Justice League if he doesn't come up with the plans? If I don't like the Flash (I do like the Flash btw) I wouldn't bitch about him running faster than anyone else because that's the point of the character, Batman is a detective, he solves problems and thinks. That's his thing. He also likes to punch horses. Not to mention he is the one who has the great plan. Gets a little sickening sometimes the Batman aand his bitches trend in the DCU. This is a Superboy book. It'd have been great to see Superboy carry the Batman in his arms. lol.
I feel for you. I would buy this comic if it had Captain Carrot in it. I also like Supercat.
