Following the exit of Scott Snyder from "Swamp Thing," DC newcomer Charles Soule will take over writing duties on the book with KANO on interior art beginning with issue #19 in April.

I'm not sure about this writer since I have no experience with his work and frankly, I only found out about his existence because of him taking of this book. However, he promises a two issue opening arc and the art will be done by Kano (who drew the goregous Zero issue if I remember correctly), I'll buy the opening arc to see what it is like. If good, I'll stick with it. Bad, I'll drop it like I was originally planning.

Oh cool, kano is taking over. I support that decision! I'm interested to see where this goes. I'll be sticking around.

Sad to see Snyder and Co. leave the book, but hopefully these new guys will meet the same high standards. I'll give them a few issues to prove their mettle.

Oh good, I was looking for excuses to drop a title from my pull list to make room for others. This looks like a perfect jumping off point. I'm thinking I'll replace this with Guardians of the Galaxy.

I think he meant flashpoint in a crude manner.

Ah, KANO! I liked his work on the zero issue and is a great choice and they could have Becky Cloonan be fill-in artist if necessary with their styles being a bit similar. Going in blind with this writer, but I do like to hear his first arc will be a short one which should give a good taste in terms of his style and direction. With Soule mentioning that bit about Swamp's powers, I hope he has more fun with it and be more imaginative than how Snyder's used his powers.

Damn! Not familiar with the man but someone hire him now!

As for the change, not familiar with the writer or any of his previous work. I can't really see where you can go after rotworld with Swamp Thing. Snyder has done a fantastic job with the story, I'll miss his writing. I'll give the first arc a shot though. If I enjoy it then I will continue reading the series. If not then I suppose I'll drop it from my pull list.

I'll probably check this out, but it'll be on a tight leash. I really want to like Swamp Thing (the book, not necessarily the character), in fact, I'm pretty sure I do. But Rotworld was/is just... so long, it was off-putting to the max. Same exact thing regarding Animal Man, too...
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

Nice to have some confirmation, and Kano on art? I am in

Pretty nice interview as well and Soule has some pretty good ideas. I am looking forward to seeing how Alec deal with his position as the Avatar of the Green and I hope I won't be disappointed by Soule.

Anyway, is it just me or Scarecrow has been pretty prominent recently?
