Nu52 and Marvel NOW! ... What do old-time readers think works?

The Nu52 had me, they had me good. I was getting over 40 nu52 titles at one point, plus assorted other DC items, and going back for what I missed...Then things like the Flash was never married to Iris, Superman/Lois...wait what?? Origins Changed which changed motivations, Old man Arrow is now young man scruffy, 70 year old characters with kids suddenly prefer other men...and the answer given is that this is a crazy wacky new universe that is in no relation to ANYTHING that happened before...except when we want to include something, but that is just a coincidence. Soooo, all of the characters are some kind of replica...Got it. I am down to 9 DC titles having cut Detective with their WTF 900 stunt. I am not sure why the remaining 9 are so hard to let go of, guess I am just waiting for a reason.

Marvel on the other hand just renumbered everything. Not alot of clear jumping on points, #1's in the middle of story arcs, the dumbest title for a flagship character ever (Superior SM), Double shipping like madmen...Marvel just begs me not to give them my money. Of NOW I am getting just Morbius. I was Completely underwhelmed by Avengers/Uncanny Avengers/Fantastic 4. Still have Hawkeye and Winter Soldier carrying over but thats it.

Crazy part is I am still buying a TON of comics. There is a bunch of great stuff out there each month, just most of it is not produced by the big 2.

ETA: With DC's announcement today of the OWS/Movement/Green Team bent, it is pretty clear the DC Universe is not for me. Just Dial H and All Star Western from here on in.
