    Default J'onn J'onzz pronouciation

I had just had a totally random thought- how exactly is the Martian Manhunter J'onn J'onzz's name supposed to be pronounced? Does it sound like "John Johns," or like "Jay-on Jay-ons"? I know his human guise calls himself John Jones. Always been curious, just never asked anyone before.

Like John Johns, just with a glottal stop after the J.

We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

Pronounced Y-on Y-onz, with a heavy Swedish accent.

I'm pretty sure the official answer is that it's pronounced "John Jones".

That said I can't stop myself reading it as "John Johns"

There's a cartoon that was AMAZINGLY POPULAR a few years ago that answers this question.

Actually, you got it wrong twice =)

The J is soft, like the French pronunciation of "Jean"

So it almost sounds like Shawn Shones, with more of a J sound.

I've always pronounced "J'onn" like "Jean" as in "Jean-Luc."

You also spelled J'Onn J'Onzz wrong, but most people do that.
