She'd rather not believe the boy she loves will grow up to be an alleged terrorist, alongside the terrorist she's known and fought previously? And with the flood of "history" she's been telepathically made privy to, she's got various emotions/experiences/angles of what she knows coming to a head in a dream.
Wolverine, the violent man willing to kill her because of the Phoenix power, etc etc.
Just because she knows what her future holds, doesn't mean she has the same emotional connection to it as the Jean who experienced all of it. She's going to respond in unexpected ways, I'd say.
