Honestly - I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm really more interested in seeing how Marvel is going to address this.

I keep coming back to the this is Marvel's Flagship character notion in my head. They're not going to compromise this too far. At least I can't imagine they will. So it's unlikely that i think we'll see much beyond what we have seen and has been implied so far.

Of course we do. It is paranoia induced dark humor. Considering the Jigsaw-y way Marvel loves to treat the Peter and MJ shippers, who are the majority of ASM readers, they should be glad people can still laugh about it and keep buying their comics in the undying hope that the two will finally be reunited.
