Don't do the Limbo
Was Dick Grayson 8, 12, or 16 when he became Robin? 12 or 13
How old was Bruce when his parents died? 6-8
Who killed Bruce's parents? Joe Chill
Did Barbara become Oracle? Yes. The current Babs is a defective clone and the real thing is out there waiting to be rescued like Speedy in YJ. The same applies to Tim Drake.
Is Batman the Mask or Bruce Wayne? Either way works fine.
Is the cowl a solid headpiece or a cloth like material? As long as he can turn his head it's a solid headpiece
Do all the Pre-Flash Point stories still count in your mind? All but the stories between the end of NML and the beginning of the Morrison run, along with some more violent golden age stuff.
Does Batman's cape allow him the ability to glide? Yes.
Does Stephanie Brown still exist in this universe? Yes. She works in the suburbs where the family isn't active. She wasn't Robin or Batgirl. Cass also exists.
How was Jason Todd resurrected? - Lazarus pit or Superboy Prime Lazurus pit. He never fully recovered.
My head canon is much aligned with Morrison's idea that "everything happened", whether literally or by way of fear gas inhalation or other drug / mind altering exposure. For me, these are the main beats that definitely happened (again, this is my personal canon):
• Waynes murdered. Chill or random, makes no difference as the gunman was never caught either way.
• Bat crashes through the window.
• Year One, by Miller.
• Joker tries to poison the reservoir.
• Dick Grayson becomes Robin, Barbara Gordon becomes Batgirl.
• Bruce & Dick have a falling out, Grayson becomes Nightwing.
• Todd is recruited.
• The Killing Joke, by Moore.
• Death in the Family
• Drake recruited.
• Knightfall / Quest / End
• No Mans Land
• Under the Hood
• Morrisons Run (Bat&Son all the way through)
• The Black Mirror
For me, all other stories not mentioned either happened literally (as in they heavily influence one of the story beats above), or happened during nightmares / fear gas / whatever. For example, I liked War Games but hated War Crimes. So in my mind, War Games probably happened, but the stress of it all caused Bruce to have a nightmare about Leslie's involvement with Spoiler.
If that makes any sense.
Edit: The bullet points above are, for me, the bare minimum of things that occured during Bruce's career. Many more could have happened, as there is a lot that I love throughout the ages. But if I was to ever make a timeline of events, these would be the "milestones", for me. I also kept it strictly to Batman, discounting the JLA, although they are obviously part of my canon as well.
Pre-52, I really enjoyed the idea that Batman had broken the 40-yr-old barrier (in my mind). Like, LOVED that idea. Kinda explained away certain things, like his heart attack while fighting the Third Batman and Montoya's comment of "the young one, and the old grizzled bat" (or words to that effect) while in the presence of Batman & DickBats. I loved that Damian could be 11 because Bruce & Talia conceived when Bruce was 30, instead of artificially aging him. Kinda lent more weight to the idea of legacies if all the Robins were allowed to grow up some.
Course, that flies in the face of Superman & others, who would probably never hit the 40 mark. Anyway, I enjoyed the adventures of a Batman who made mistakes when young (Year One, Long Halloween), and the Batgod who had experienced it all (Incorporated volume 1, and to most extents, volume 2 as well).
