Ditto. Still I'll add this to the crazy number of comic book movies to watch over the next 3 - 5 years.

I'd take a trilogy at a push but would definitely prefer small screen Y

I'd also prefer a tv show. However, if they're going to go with a movie, I don't mind a single picture adaptation. Sure, they're going to have to cut a lot of stuff out, but that would be true for a trilogy as well. I don't mind trilogies and sequels, but there are also far too many of them now. As if they weren't all over the place already, Harry Potter had to go and split the last book into two movies and start that trend.

Plus, I thought that Portal short was great. Not that it's any real indication on what Trachtenberg can do with a 2 hour Y film, but it at least gives me some hope. Everyone has to start somewhere, right?
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

Mind you, I never would have guess a guy who acted with Vince Vaughn and did "Zathrua" would make a good "Iron Man" movie.
Good point and well put. Iron Man 1 remains the gold standard for the Marvel Movie Universe. Casting Downey was genius, obviously, but the pace and tone of the direction established the template for countless comix movies to come.

Iron Man 2 begs to differ.

Yup. Y is prime for a road movie, an adventure. Love to see a one-and-done adaptation. The movie medium is perfect for some dude on the road, questing the hell out of whatever. As enjoyable a read it was, a nice two-hour flick is kinda the movie I would like to see.
