Well, I'll have my fingers crossed for this one to turn out not terrible.
Bad news everyone...

He might be a nice guy, but his resume is hardly impressive.
Entertainment Weekly said he mainly has directed commercials.
Mind you, I never would have guess a guy who acted with Vince Vaughn and did "Zathrua" would make a good "Iron Man" movie.
I've been itching for more news on this movie, hoping that New Line wasn't just blowing smoke when they said they were making it a priority. Having a director certainly helps! I've never heard of this guy. He's not a big name, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. If the project isn't attracting any major names, then that may be a sign that there are some obstacles that haven't been addressed. It's hard to tell. But I really hope this moves forward because Y: The Last Man was such an amazing comic. It deserves a shot at becoming a movie, especially while so many other comic book movies and TV shows like the Walking Dead are becoming successful.

Okay, the first issue alone would make an excellent movie. And they want to cram the entire sixty issue run into two hours?!
I'm sorry, but I don't see how that's anything but a travesty waiting to happen. And that's nothing against this young director chap. They're going to wind up gutting most of story and glossing over what's left. Fans of the book will be left disappointed and film goers being introduced to the material are gonna wonder what the big deal is/was.
I believe all that needs to be said has been. So here’s my two cents.”-- ScottMC, inadvertently summing up the Internet.
This needs to be a show on HBO or Showtime, not condensed to 2-3 hours.
Please, Brian, from one Iggy (and Vista) alum to another...
