Great list. I've also got a lot of love for Frank Martin's work with Kev Walker (though that was more 2011 now I guess) and for Matthew Wilson's stuff on Secret Avengers.

Dave Stewart should be on this list every year.

So no nod to whoever colors J.H. Williams III stuff?

Dean White is amazing, he considerably embellish any art he colors. And whenever he works together with a great artist like Jerome Opena, then a frequent case of artgasm occurs.

Fiona's been doing a stellar job on SAGA too.

Dave Stewart, currently Conan the Barbarian and B.P.R.D colorist, is also pretty awesome.

No John Rauch, Dave McCaig, Sonia O`Back or Laura Martin.

    `k.

At least FCO got a nod in the opening.

I think Dave Stewart needs to be excluded from these lists, because he would sweep every year - AS HE DESERVES TO.

Nah. Matt Hollingsworth can give him a run for his money.
I don't think there's a current mainstream American superhero comic book that can touch Hawkeye right now. Brilliant all the way. Entertaining and technically outstanding at the same time.

No mention of Hollingsworth's Punisher colouring?

Really wish the list was a top 10, because like the others pointed out, a lot of colorists amazed in 2012. That being said, the 5 chosen were definetly all solid picks.

About time someone wrote an article giving comic book colorists some recognition.

I really liked Nathan Fairbairn's stuff in Swamp Thing and Batman Incorporated. The couple of pages of the coloured editions of Scott Pilgrim that i have seen were pretty sweet too.
