Default Slott Teases Spider-Man 2099 For "Superior Spider-Man"

Following rumors that Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man of 2099, would be the star of "Superior Spider-Man," series writer Dan Slott confirms the character will appear in the newly-launched Marvel NOW! book.

And the speculators who were ready to dump a bunch of his first appearances on ebay after that tweet are rejoicing!

Interesting. I wonder if this will be an entire arc.

Wouldn't be surprised if its just someone in 2012 named Miguel O'Hara.

    But we'll see what happens.

Maybe he'll take over the title when Peter gets his body back.

I do think it could eventually turn out to be important that Peter said when he thought he had Ock beat in 700 that he would have to stop being Spider-Man afterwards...AND that was before Ock started doing all the terrible stuff he's working on ruining now.

Seeing a 616 version of Miguel pop up and turn hero at the end of Superior and taking on that moniker of the "superior" more futuristic version of Spider-Man could be pretty interesting.

It's what I was originally hoping for and hey, if the book sells well, they don't have to cancel it once Peter and Amazing is back, they could just give it to Miguel.

Or Kaine if his book gets cancelled (I'm hoping it doesn't but hell, you never know in this market)
I'm beginning to think that Hell is a comic book forum.

Might just be Miguel investigating why Spider-Man's legacy suddenly became ruined.

(assuming Dan treats 2099 like it's the real future instead of just an alternate universe)

But if it's the future, all Miguel will know is the latest thing that happened, not both versions.

Unless he goes back just so he can say, "Dude, why are you such a tool?"

Didn't Slott write the story for Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions? Because, although he looked cool, I did not get the sense that the Spider-Man 2099 of that game in any way resembled the character from the 90s comic. If that's how Slott is going to write him, as a faux wannabe Peter Parker, then no thank you.

It would be interesting, I hope that somehow helps Peter to return.
