Finally picked up my copy. I wasn't too enticed by the first two issues but this was more like it. It's still not as gripping as I'd like it to be, but I felt this issue was stronger than the previous and has me interested. LOVED the Deadside scenes with Jack and Jaunty. Loved the scene with his father. And it's the Vodou lore fanboy in me, I sorta squealed inside when I read "Gris gris" in this issue.

I'm curious, though: While I can assume we'll learn about the Loa that is possessing Jack, will we be meeting the other Loas of Vodou lore? That'd definitely keep me interested as a reader.

I've read this issue at least 5 times now and last night I re-read issues #1 and #2 for the 4th time each, needless to say how much I love this series. The general Valiant crowd seems to really like it while the average reader seems to think it's "okay", but man......I'm completely hooked on this book and I'm absolutely loving the character design, the amazing art, and the fun storytelling coming out of this title.

Issue #4 can't come fast enough.
