The Doctor Vs The Master (In the Matrix!)

I don't think I even understand this myself!

Anyway, The Doctor and The Master find themselves in the Matrix universe and promptly find themselves plugged in to it.

They both "awaken" in there next to each other, without having been told about it.

What would happen? Who would figure out where they are first? Would they team up? Would they battle it out in there? Could they escape?

Basically, what would go down if The Doctor and The Master found themselves together in the Matrix?

I just class them all as the same person really... but let's say most current versions of the actors as we're in Rumbles. Smith and Simm.

I think Simm would get on well in the Matrix. Guy is crazy and has ridiculous willpower.

The trouble is figuring it out. I mean, does the TARDIS manifest itself in the Matrix? Or a facsimile thereof? The Matrix is characterised by being, to the casual observer, entirely normal. However both the Master and the Doctor come from a world that is anything but normal so they might cotton onto things first.

My only answer to this would be...Wait you mean their not? It would explain a lot of the exploits of those two over the years.....:) Realistically I think a once over with a sonic ..well anything they have on them or imagine them to have on them...would probably give them a better chance to acknowledge that they are indeed in a simulated world of sorts then say Neo. I think initially they might fight it out using what resources they can manage to find in there but eventually they'd probably set aside their differences this time to contend with the Machines.

Without PIS, The Doctor probably realises he's in the Matrix more or less immediately. We already know his psychic ability is such that he can tune himself in to a massive psychic network, and that over time he can integrate his mind with it to such an extent that he can subvert it for his own purposes. Given that and his intelligence, I don't see him taking more than an hour or so to realise he's in a fake world; he's just not the sort to be fooled by it, and the Matrix wasn't made to deal with psychics. The Master can probably deduce it pretty quick too, but he's got less by way of feats except that he matches up pretty close to the Doctor.

Well, they've both been in their own version of the Matrix, so that should eliminate the learning time ...

Honestly, there's a good bet that either one of them can reprogram it from the inside. Sort of like what Neo was SUPPOSED to be able to do.
