Except she was always there. She just sucked and was a vegetable. She was there for most of Fraction's run, all of Gillen's. She was great as a bad-ass knife-fighting bitch-stabbing punk so they're just recycling that because she is one-note.

Her history should be entirely rewritten so that she's always been Japanese. But Brian was still always white. Their mother's womb was an inter-dimensional juncture and Psylocke has always been an alternate reality version of herself.

Or, better, just have her be such powerfully empathic telepath and latently powerful telekinetic that when she trained under her sensei, Kwannon, her body turned itself Japanese. Maybe she was mind-linked with Kwannon, a telekinetic, when she died, and the result was that her body reprogrammed itself to be Asian and unleashed its own telekinesis.
