Default Can we read Superman origins in another book than Action Comics?

    Hello,

Everything is in the title. I really don't like Action Comics (Morisson's story here is too strange for me).

I think I will restart reading books of this character with the issues of Lobdell in the ongoing Superman and later with Snyder and Lee's Man of steel. But is there any mentions of Supe's origins (destruction of Krypton, spaceship in Smallville, the Kents) in the ongoing Superman? In issue 0 for exemple? I would appreciate to have the origins of the character very soon in my collection.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The only other origin issues would be issue 0 of Action Comics, which is a story of when Clark moves out of his old apartment and looses his cape and issue 0 of Superman, in which we see Krypton being blown via Superman's perspective. Besides that, the only origin story you are getting is in Action Comics #1-#17. I recommend waiting to give the series a re-read at least when it raps up in February since Morrison's books are much better when you are reading them collected. Also Lex Luthor will be getting his origins or shall I say catch up to the current timeline via Action Comics #18-#20 so you might want to jump back in for that.
Action Comics, Batman, Justice League, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Night Wing, The Flash, Batman And Robin, Teen Titans, Batman Inc. , Earth 2, Avengers Vs Xmen

Well technically, the 'origin arc' of Superman in the New 52 is Action Comics # 1-8...which comprehensively covers his kryptonian origins, earthly upbringing and his early days in Metropolis and transition from vigilante to invincible superhero. However, they are the beginning of Morrison's larger arc, which will be concluding with # 17.

Dont blame you for not wanting to read Morrisons origin-despite morrisons awesomeness he can be a bit confusing.Sadly for you Morrison origin is Supermans offical origin right now.You might want to get Morrsions arc in trade though it reads better in that form .Howver if you are adamant about that then I suggest to you to read out of continuity Superman origin-Best is Superman Birthright
