I was actually looking forward to a Thor appearance in Waid's Hulk, and the fact that the legend himself, Walt Simonson, is on board is a total home-run. Both Hulk and Thor have been handled the best (quite easily) in this whole Marvel NOW! thing out of the gate. We have Thor actually acting like a God of Thunder and traversing space, and Bruce Banner and Hulk are actually trying to contribute something to society. I'm interested in what kind of angle Waid will take with this arc.
I'm just really hoping they don't have a cliche fight between the two which obviously wouldn't have a resolution. It's become boring and predictable in Marvel for heroes to constantly fight each other. I'd like to see a different take on their relationship. Why not a team-up? Oh, and I know that the main promo shows Hulk trying to lift Mjolnir, but if Waid has him do it, I quit Marvel. Hopefully it's just Waid being cute.

Not digging Yu at all on this book, too mechanical and the storytelling isn't great. Can't wait for Simonson to come aboard.
I'm really looking forward to Thor's appearance here though and Hulk's fight with the Frost Giants.
Honestly, Waid has been one of the best writers in the industry and is yet to let me down.
Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison
Aww I really loved Lenil Yu's art on this I really like Walt Simonson's old work on Thor but his new stuff isn't doing it for me.
The Main Man.
i want it Noted that i am a artist myself, and i am VERY forgiving of artist flaws, i can at this point in time name a maximum of only 5 or so artist, i genuienly dislike all the time
John Romita Jr
and MODERN Walter Simonson (love his old work)
what i AM saying is i think EVERTHING i have seen from him in the past 2 years IMO is TERRIBLE. and the Supurb run Arron is building would be lessioned by simonsons less than good current artwork.
here are the reasons i strongly dislike that cover
ok ill give you that the angle is good, and the tank tracks are well drawn, but the hulk him self is a abombination, his face is WTF, he has no waist, its just his chest then boom Hips!
the arm pulled back in a fist is good, but the other arm is horrid, the fingers look like there 5 feet long.
his shadows and cross hatching is a mess from hell

An artist should have more respect for the medium than to talk shit about other artists.
I'm not Captain America, but I wish I was.
here is different as im just stating my objections to people saying he should be joining the new (and supurb) thor run, im not buying hulk currently, i dont have a personal stake in this matter. but i really dont want anything to mess up arrons thor run in my eyes and i think modern simonson would be a huge detriment to it.
people freaking Rag on and mock some of the artist i like till the end of time, but i bad mouth just a little one of the legends of comics, and i get shunned and called disrepectful, hypocracy is rampant.

Nobody's saying he should be drawing Thor. You brought that up, and you're arguing with something that nobody is saying.
I view him as I would a nazi regalia collecting climate skeptic who just killed my child by convincing them to take a holistic approach to a treatable disease. FunkyGreenJerusalem re: DonaldM
And just like that i will re-start collecting Indestructible Hulk.
As soon as Walt Simonson stories start to get published, that is.
Plus Waid stories with a artist that shows better storytelling aspects in the illustrations as Walt Simonson makes this title way better.
