Oh wow. That is almost too much power for one book.
I'm definitely checking this out.

Brilliant news! :D
Freedom is the ability to live without fear of persecution. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less.
I am sure that Thor will have a good showing, but (a) I am not sure that Simonson will have any plotting duties, and (b) practically his first act as Thor author was to have Beta Ray Bill kick Thor's ass twice. If that happened today, with the internet, there would be no end to the moaning.
Here is a preview of the interiors, yep my fears are founded looks like a 3 year old drew it, and yet people are saying he is brilliant.......

One of the greatest of all time, a true legend, and next to King Kirby himself, probably the best American superhero artist in terms of motion, action, and the sheer amount of power being thrown around. Absolutely perfect for a Hulk book. (Something that you can see if you pick up Essential Rampaging Hulk.) This is an upgrade, and I'm saying this as a fan of Yu's work.
Legendary.

Simonson's finished pencils are another thing altogether.
You can't judge him by rush job covers he's done or unfinished pencils.
Besides it not like we were getting Yu at his best either.
These guys need at least 2 months lead time to put out a single issue.
Marvel should alternate artist on books as a matter of course.
Other than Bagley and JRjr, who at Marvel has shown any ability to do monthlies?

Hmm... I'm going to have to join the sceptics on this one.
His recent work have been lackluster to say the least, so I'm not that sure if I want to see his work in the modern day any more.
This is actually something VERY common for most 1980's artists, they grow sloppy and OVERLY stylised eventually, as if they lose interest in the regular monthly style of artwork.
It's happened many times, Frank Miller, JRJr, Sienkiewicz, the list goes on and on and on.
All fantastic artists, just UTTERLY incapable of producing a modern and FRESH, monthly comic-book any more.
I think I'll have to hold off on this book when he comes on, check out some previews and some reviews before I possibly pick it back up. Simonson deserves a shot, but not at any cost.
