Might check this out, he did a great Valen the Outcast mini. Might even stay if the series could get Matteo Scalera (who did the art for Valen) as its regular artist.

That would be a huge step up from Churchill. Guara is pretty okay, but I prefer Scaleras kinetic stylization.



As an aside, what is it with DC recruiting horror writers for everything? Can I get some hard sci fi 2000 AD style guys, please? The horror vibe is cool, but I don't want EVERY book to riff on it.

When they introduced her it was made clear that she needed to keep her barefeet some how in contact with the earth

I do think this title would benefit from a horror writer. Aside from that, I'll classify Diggle and Venditti as scifi.

DC got Jim Zub and John Layman working for them so they are at least getting some fresh talent

Yeah, that concerns me too. I keep waiting for this book to find a voice, but now it looks like the voice it may find is one I have no interest in. (Not really into horror, and I preferred the focus being on the team that escaped, not the 'bad guys')
