Thanks. I've been a lurker in this board after the DC message board was removed. I initially refused to join because of some "hostilities" I noticed among/between some members. But I'm a comic book fan so at the end of the day it's really hard not to interact with other fans.

I think it'd be brilliant to do it in this way, but LOTR had the luck of being able to film all three movies one after the other, didn't it? I'd hope they would be able to do the same for JL.

[QUOTE=Lexrules;16431953]What are they going to walk to a volcano for 3 movies?

I was actually expecting someone would give me an answer like this LOL! But wouldn't that be Superman's Grounded. Maybe they can call it JLA: Grounded ;-)

Bleeding Cool suggests that the JL Dark Movie will be based on American Gothic: Phantom Stranger, Etrigan, The Spectre, Constantine, Swamp Thing, Vampires, Werewolves, Serial Killers, Ghosts,,,

Del Toro has the right idea, Justice League Adventures (even Dark) should be all out. Warners\Dc is not going to out Marvel Marvel by creating heroes "just like me", so they should go to their strengths and embrace the amazing, 75 year old fantasy world they have to play with in on screen.

Reading a DC comic, mid bronze age, JLA/JSA era, it felt impossible to know every character and their endless back story. You just went with the sheer scale of their adventures and broad mythic character strokes. I didn't need to see Thor make Jane Breakfast (I know he was humbling himself) but I just like DC because they're DC.

If the research and marketing people of WB will do their homework I think an LOTR approach to JL movie is possible. Wasn't LOTR under WB too? If they can make JL as epic as that I think that will convince people that WB is serious in wanting to please the fans and causal movie-goers. Anyway, better to delay the JL movie than watch something that sucks.
