SERIOUSLY! I believe issue #4 was March of 2012 - this is giving me flashbacks to Joe the Barbarian!

At $5.99 I'm guessing we're going to be getting a hefty page-count, akin to a double issue - at least that's what I'm hoping! There was a lot left to wrap up so that would serve the story nicely. The artwork in this book was so fresh and stunning - layouts have been VERY original. I am really looking forward to having this in hand.

And for those who haven't checked it out yet, this is the perfect time - get issues #1-4 from eBay or your local shop and you get to read the whole thing in one shot! I'll definitely be pulling those out of the longbox to enjoy in one continuous sitting. Plus with all the delay I don't want to read #5 until I refreshed myself on #1-4.

    WOW. That was freaking epic.

Gonna start with the first impression I had of #5 when my LCS gave me my books this week - THIS THING IS MASSIVE! I didn't count pages but it feels like this issue was more than even a double issue. A fantastic amount of content INCLUDING A FOUR PAGE GATEFOLD! A really stunning issue.

I decided I would pull #1-4 out of the longbox and read the whole thing together. I looked at the copyright dates for each issue - had totally forgotten issue #1 came out in January of 2011! So it's two years since the start of this ride that we get the finish. So was the wait worth it? HELL YEAH IT WAS!

Gonna avoid commenting much more on this to avoid spoilery things but this book is a smash hit for me. The art and layouts were fresh and creative and engaging all the way through. The pacing of the story (especially when read all as one piece) was really tight and the narrative made complete sense when taken as a whole. For something that can be a potentially mind-twisty topic (manipulations of time and space and quantum theory) Spencer really made a cohesive and logical story that ended up being something completely different than what I expected. By the time I realized where we were going we were there, and the destination wasn't anywhere I expected us to land.

A touching, sweet parable that has resonance into our own personal lives if we let the message sink in. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK!
