So I'm assuming transmutation is a solid way to go then?

A woman can move a lot faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.
Doubtful and very.
Besides the WoG statements about LHW turning incoming harmful energy into harmless energy (and whatever triggers a transmutation is going to fall under harmful), Tenchi's LHW apparently disrupted Kagato's transmutation based regeneration and Z is capable of altering his own corporeal form (displayed, he turned into light to bypass Tokimi's block, then solidified again).
They multiply everything by zero?
Can they handle Scott Steiner Math?
Well WoG matters very little here. Though isn't there a difference between disrupting someone elses regen and being turned into a cupcake yourself and then eaten at FTL speeds? Has Z shown he could come back from that? In 10 seconds?
Or what if he turns him into a cupcake, breaks it in half, turns one half into a cookie, breaks the cookie in half, turns half the cookie into a flower, turns the other half into a gummi bear, or something along those lines? Does he have complete control over every molecule in his body?

This assumes that the transmutation is a feasible approach in the first place.
If the transmutation is accomplished through energy infusion shenanigans (as is the case in every relevant Surfer feat I am aware of, although I am no great expert in the character), then the energy runs into the LHW and we are back to square one.
It runs into the LHW's and does what? Disrupts it? When Tenchi disrupted regen was it a conscious action or did it happen passively?

If transmutation is accomplished by bombarding the target matter with exotic energy, which is the way I've seen Surfer transmute crap, I'd expect the LHWs to block the energy before it can reach the target matter (in this case, Z) the way it does with other forms of energy.
Which brings us back to square one. Square one being the matter of whether the Surfer is capable of overcoming the LHWs or not.
I'd personally bet on not, but -again- not a huge expert in Silver Surfer.
Tenchi transmuted one of his LHWs into a sword, cuts the villain Kagato. Kagato comments that he cannot copy his powers, congratulates Tsunami, checks the damage cannot be regenerated and is disintegrated after a few seconds. When Tenchi disrupted regen was it a conscious action or did it happen passively?
