I'm disappointed that there is no mention of Bette in the entire article. When they gutted Bette last year (much to my dismay) they claimed they did it because they had a vision for making the character better. But the lack of mention of Bette indicates to me that they just don't care for the character and simply gutted her as a plot device for Kate and Jacob. Sadly I was more interested in Bette who I fear is now ruined forever more, turned into just one more batverse character with a troubling traumatic past rather than being the bright spot this book so needs.
Either that, or they have big plans for Bette and decided not to give hints through this interview so as not to spoil her big moment. I have a feeling she'll be back based on the solicitation text for Batwoman #18. But I could be wrong, so let's just wait and see.
I'm really loving this series. I've never been this invested in a female superhero character before.
Great book, awesome creators, and solid interview, but...
...the collection of the second arc until next week. Maybe he just meant once people got to read it as a whole. No big deal, it just left me confused for a second that I had missed something.I think the second arc that goes back and forth through time and tells stories through different character's points of view was a big risk that was met with mixed results initially, but then with fairly favorable results after people read it in trade paperback form. That was an interesting challenge.

I'm loving the Batwoman and Wonder Woman team up so much![]()
Well, maybe the book will pick up once it finally gets away from this boring-ass Medusa plot. I think I'm just going to have to accept that this book will never be as good as it was with Rucka as long as this current creative team is on it.
I'm enjoying the book, though I am anxious to have the kidnapped kids story line resolved. Its been going on for way too long, IMO. I wish they could get someone other than McCarthy to take over the art while Williams is working on Sandman though. I'm not a fan of his work, especially the way he makes Batwoman's hair stand on end like Marge Simpson. Looks ridiculous.
On second thought, let us not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.
