    Default Where should I start?

I am looking to get back into three series (Batman, Justice League, and Avengers).

I have begun reading Justice League Dark. Love it. Is there a previous arc or series I should read before I continue?

I am also looking to get back into batman. Any suggestions? I actually never read much batman growing up so really I am open to any series, even if it is like 15 years old.

Where did you start reading JLD, from the current issues, or from the first issue of the series, from September 2011? That is the beginning of the functional lineage of the title, although it may be useful to read some Hellblazer, which recently ended at Vertigo.

For Batman, due to continuity changes for the New 52, many key texts will be out of place. I would definitely pick up Batman: Year One, though.

If you want to continue with it, you could start with # 7, # 9, or even # 14 or 15. With # 15 there is some backstory but it shouldn't be too hard to pick up what's going on. The best jumping-on point is really # 9 - #7-8 is part of a crossover with I, Vampire and should be avoided anyway. But if you can't find # 9, skip #9-13 and the annual and just start with # 14 or 15. Then you'll be up to speed on the newest arc.

With Justice League, it's probably best to start with JL # 1 (or the TPB JL: Origin) and go on from there. There are only 15 issues of that so far as well, so shouldn't be hard to catch up. Barring that, I'd start with # 15 as well, since that's the beginning of the Throne of Atlantis crossover (although you'd have to buy Aquaman # 15 too to see what's going on).

With Batman I'd start at the beginning of any arc. Everybody knows who Batman is so it should be pretty easy. Other titles cross over but they aren't essential to the main story - they're just related. The most recent jumping-on point was # 13, the beginning of the Joker arc. If you want, you can start with # 1 (September 2011) but it's not really necessary. With # 13-15 you should be caught up with "Death of the Family."

You're in luck: Batman and JL are only 15 issues in and a new writer started on Avengers with 2 new series 2 issues ago.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
