For those who are interested in mine, I would like to know your feelings on having to pick from a pre-made list of powers for purchase versus making up your own stuff.

Either is fine. Making up stuff is nice, but well I make games with lists of pre made stuff.

So yeah, for me. Both systems are fine.

To actually answer this; I prefer picking from a pre-made list as it helps stop powergaming and people coming up with their own broken powers.

Well, Nik might beat me to it, but on this note, I'll go ahead and start constructing a power list in case mine gets it. I'll try not to make it too generic. :P

I don't mind the concept either. On the flipside though, it then becomes the responsibility of the GM to design powers, with all the potential brokenness and/or imbalance that entails.

I'm cool with it, in general. As has been pointed out, this can help ensure that players don't break the game wide open by making their own crazy powers.

Pretty much, yeah. I'll try to expand on it a bit, and some abilities might get shifted around.

After a major plot twist, new powers will be unlocked as well, but that wouldn't be for a while yet.

FOR ME AT LEAST

While my stat system is pretty complex, it's nowhere near the level of Anima.

Without getting too in-depth, I can reveal that the main stats that are used:

- Physicality: Covers your raw physical capacities.
- Marksmanship: Covers ranged weapon checks, your ability to hit things in combat and, in some cases, defence.
- Skill: Covers non-combat skills. There are skillsets you can choose to purchase to augment your skills at specific things.
- Power: Covers the superpower that your character may have. This is not mandatory.

There are other stats that will effect your character that you don't control directly. These include;

- Fear: Governs how dangerous NPCs think you are.
- Respect: Governs how much NPCs respect you - how likely they are to give your ideas a try or obey your commands or requests.
- Suspicion: Governs how much NPCs suspect you of being an undercover cop and, by proxy, how much they trust you. If you act in a suspicious manner, NPCs will start to lose trust in you and may attack or conspire against you because they think you are a cop.

And, as a last teaser, there are seven gangs to choose from in the city already. Eight if you count being an undercover cop as another allegiance. So there are plenty options for you to choose from.
