Regarding "The Visitor," while I agree that Cirroc Lofton was often one of the show's weaker links, that episode works because of Tony Todd and Avery Brooks. It's a solid episode because of how good Old Jake is, not how merely passable Young Jake was.

Absolutely, Tony Todd made this episode one of my favourite of Trek ever!

3- How is Malcom McDowell's sun killer rocket able to get from that planet to the sun in a matter of seconds? Just looking at the rocket, it pretty clearly looks like it has no warp drive on it which means it travels at sub-light speed (this is also backed up by the fact that its explosion later on when Picard sabotages it is pretty small).

Who says there's no warp capability on it? K'Ehleyr's probe was smaller than that and travelled at warp 9. And explosions are explosions, they're as big as dramatically necessary.

I dont know why they didn't just stick with the TNG uniforms though, those are still the best Trek uniforms in my opinion.
