    i think his style fits the book perfectly so much that i fear this book will be lose everything that drew me to it once he leaves...(Which is due to his sandman project)there's Nobody DC Can put on the book that can duplicate the essence that Williams Inserted into the series

    I'd be much more worried about a new writer than a new artist.
    'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
    'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

    What's the title sells look like now? I think when Williams leaves it'll probably see a decent drop off. I've grown to like the character, but I'm guessing he's been a big draw for a lot of people.

    Didn't Williams stop drawing the book like six months go?

    Yeah, but it was common knowledge he was coming back. Even if you didn't know that for sure, you would probably assume so because his name was still attached. When his name leaves completely? I mean, I might be underestimating how much Batwoman's popularity has grown, but I think big JH is a big draw.

    I say bring someone who won't be bound by Williams' directorial regime and let him break conservative comic storytelling like Williams did, but on his/her own terms.
    Someone like Sienkiewicz would fit perfectly, but he only inks and does covers these days.
    I would gladly want Reeder back on the book, but I don't think that would happen.
    McCarthy is just okay.

    Williams is a huge draw to be sure but I know I like the character enough to stick with her.

    He took an arc off, but he's drawn #0 and 12 through 17, with the exception of 15.

    Regardless of Williams doing the art, I hope that Batwoman continues to have the mix of styles based on the type of scene being portrayed. It's one of my favorite things about the book, and I think some other books could benefit from some style-follows-scene kind of art.

    They should bring in Paquette now that he's done with Swamp Thing. It would be a perfect transition.

    He's drawing Grant Morrison's Wonder Woman.

    The art is important, but even in a visual medium I think the storytelling and narrative drive is the more important aspect, but you do get used to a certain style however if the character is to have a long term future change is probably inevitable both in art and writing.

    Sooooo, I guess I'm the only person who might want something a little more straightforward in the art?
    It doesn't matter what the writer, artist, or editor had in mind when they created it, or what they said in an interview;
    all that matters is what is on the page.
