No he isn't. Yanick Paquette will be the artist on that.

Maybe I should have quoted Quinhop before saying that.

Those covers are beautiful - and confusing. Some 'solicits' indicate a new partner for Kate, but the image on the most recent looks like Flamebird's symbol. any thoughts, speculation, discussion .... or SPOILERS! ???

I'd say her new partner is a redesigned Flamebird. Maybe with a new name.

So what happened to Flamebird was a form of extreme makeover?

No, the story has slowed the story down. The Wonder Woman arc has been wonderful. The last issue centered on Maggie Sawyer was the best one to date in my mind. But Williams the writer has been holding back the book until recently. I also won't miss his art. It was a little much and was distracting from the story, problematic enough on its own. I know there are a lot of fans that adore the art and they may miss him, but I could go with a more straight forward approach. I just hope Williams the writer will carry on the streak he has been on the last few issues. He has a great character that is true to, but he gets in his own way.

I was pleasantly surprised how much of Maggie Sawyer's backstory from the post-crisis continuity came over. Obviously it's slightly different, since Maggie is clearly a bit younger and bit more junior as a detective, but the basics of all her continuity from the Superman comics still seem to be intact. Williams is clearly up to speed on the various continuities of his characters, whether from research or just having been a fan in general, and it's nice to see.
