I'm more wondering why someone like Franklin was defeated by morose thoughts being placed in his head. Shouldn't he of been able to basically go.."no" to that?

He possesses essentially the same power as someone with a Cosmic Cube.

He also has feats with said power, such as making Galactus and Celestials his little bitches.

So what I'd suggest you'd need is some kind of FUCKING EPIC feat. Otherwise it's no different to having the same build and training as Floyd Mayweather, but absolutely no experience in a competitive boxing bout, and then going up against him in a ring.

He actually has a HELL of a lot more power than a cosmic cube. One solo CC is generally about a planet-scale reality-warping tool. Sometimes it's been portrayed as more, but not usually.

I only need the Reality Gem, because with it, I'm ripping a hole into the Manowar universe and grabbing The Power. After which Franklin hangs himself with The Demon's Whip, amidst Violence and Bloodshed, while saying The Warrior's Prayer in front of the Warriors of the World United who responded to my Call to Arms while sitting on Selipnir and making The Sign of The Hammer.

Also if I had the infinity gems I'm doing two things 1) ensure he has a happy childhood with every possible motivation to protect and love others (as others may have protected and loved him) and 2) instilling into him, through a chain of events throughout his life, the charisma, confidence, wisdom, and will power of a being greater than even the God Emperor of Man.

Gotcha - but have any cubes been used for anything over planet level since the Shaper / Kubik thing? I mean, the Skull got one again, and never went beyond that level. The last dregs of one were only capable of knocking a way-less-than-top-condition Thanos out for a couple of moments (and given the "cubes evolve into cosmic dudes" story, that "last dregs" thing makes something less than "sense"). In Infinity War, it took a fat stack of cubes just to start the plan that was leading to reactivating the IG. I'm not arguing, I'm really just asking. :-)

Would NOT say that at this point. They might be going that way - during the Celestials/Galactus-is-my-bitch arc, they kind of talked narratively like Franklin becomes the most famous being in the universe (replacing Galactus). Maybe long-term, they turn him into that. Maybe he becomes TOAA. But it hasn't happened yet, and his feats thus far aren't anything like the LT's.
